Oopbuy Spreadsheet Sizing: Read Taobao and Weidian Charts in CM

Rewritten from real Taobao size-chart guides buyers already follow: stop converting letter sizes, match centimetre tables to a garment you already own, and catch mismatches at the warehouse—not after international shipping.

Wrong sizes are one of the most common haul failures—and spreadsheet cards make it worse when buyers trust a thumbnail “L” that never matched any centimetre table. Real agent blogs (notably Sugargoo’s Taobao size chart guide and Fishgoo’s 2026 cm sizing guide) repeat the same fix: ignore letter sizes, read the seller chart in cm, and compare it to clothes you already own.

This article rewrites that method for Oopbuy Spreadsheet shoppers. A directory row is a link. Sizing happens on the live listing, then again when warehouse QC photos arrive.

Why spreadsheet “M / L” labels are unreliable

Taobao and Weidian are marketplaces of independent sellers. Size systems are store-specific:

  • “M” in shop A can be tighter than “L” in shop B;
  • some charts mix centimetres with traditional (chi) units;
  • weight bands (建议体重) are rough domestic hints, not body-type guarantees;
  • Weidian albums sometimes hide charts in image carousels or chat screenshots.

So the spreadsheet brand tag, category, or casual “oversized” note is not a size system. Open the live product page every time.

Units you actually need

Centimetres (cm)

Most clothing charts use cm. Train yourself to think “chest ≈ 100 cm with ease” instead of “I wear M.”

尺 (chi) — mostly pants waist notes

Some older-style notes use 尺. Sugargoo’s guide gives the practical conversion 1 尺 ≈ 33.3 cm (so 2.3 尺 ≈ 76–77 cm waist). Recognise it; convert when needed; prefer an explicit cm waist when both appear.

Weight suggestions (kg)

Treat 建议体重 as a soft filter. Muscular, tall, or petite frames abroad often fall outside those bands even when the garment cm would fit.

How to read a clothing chart (tops)

Common fields (Chinese → meaning):

Label Meaning Why it matters
尺码 Size row label (S/M/L or numeric) Only an index into the cm columns
胸围 Chest / bust Primary fit for tees, hoodies, jackets
肩宽 Shoulder width Flags slouchy vs tight shoulders
袖长 Sleeve length Easy to misjudge from model photos
衣长 Garment length Hem position on your torso

Chest caveat: confirm whether the number is full circumference or flat width × 2. Listings sometimes say 平铺 (laid flat). Comparing the wrong interpretation is a classic wrong-size order.

Fishgoo’s walkthrough suggests finding a chest that leaves a few centimetres of ease versus your body or preferred garment, then cross-checking shoulder width so the piece is not accidentally “oversized costume.”

Pants and bottoms

Watch for:

  • 腰围 (waist), 臀围 (hip), 裤长 (length), 大腿围 (thigh);
  • flat waist numbers that must be doubled;
  • stretch denim vs rigid fabrics (same chart number, different feel).

Measure a pair of pants that already fits—laid flat—then match waist and length columns on the live chart.

Shoes: match foot length in cm

Sugargoo and similar guides warn that US/EU stamps on listing images are often marketing conversions. Prefer:

  1. measure foot length (Nike’s public foot measurement method is a clean procedure reference);
  2. match the seller’s cm size ladder when present;
  3. note toe-box style (knit runner vs stiff boot) as tolerance, not as an excuse to skip the chart;
  4. after warehouse intake, review QC photos of the size tag / insole when available.

The method that actually works: measure a garment you own

Rewritten from the agent-blog consensus:

  1. Pick a top or bottom that already fits the way you want this new item to fit.
  2. Lay it flat on a table.
  3. Measure pit-to-pit (×2 for chest circumference if that is how the chart is written), length, and waist as needed.
  4. Open the live Taobao/Weidian chart for the spreadsheet link.
  5. Choose the row whose cm values are closest—with intentional ease if you want oversized.
  6. Screenshot the chart + selected option before you pay.
  7. Paste the URL into Oopbuy and select the same option text/size the chart row used.

Do this per seller. Last month’s “L” does not transfer.

Order notes and warehouse QC

When the listing is ambiguous (common on some Weidian pages), agent guides recommend order notes such as height/weight plus the cm target (“chest 112 cm row / size L”). That is a communication aid—not a guarantee the seller or warehouse will re-measure for free.

Once the item reaches Oopbuy’s China warehouse, Oopbuy’s documented flow includes a quality check covering attributes such as size and colour on arrived goods (Oopbuy service overview). Use that stage:

  • confirm the size tag matches what you ordered;
  • request extra measurement photos if the service offers them and you are between sizes;
  • start a return/exchange path before you create an international parcel if the garment is clearly wrong.

Pair this article with QC keep-or-return—photos help, but they do not replace centimetre discipline at order time.

Common mistakes (from real sizing posts)

  • Assuming 均码 (“one size”) fits everyone
  • Ignoring the listing’s stated ±1–3 cm hand-measure tolerance
  • Trusting model photos or spreadsheet thumbnails over numbers
  • Reusing the same letter size across stores
  • Ordering shoes from a US tag that conflicts with the cm chart
  • Approving warehouse QC without checking the size label

Limits of this guide

Charts can be wrong, outdated, or photographed from an older batch. Warehouse lighting can distort colour; flat measurements in photos may not match how fabric hangs on a body. This independent site does not process orders and is not affiliated with Oopbuy. Always verify the live chart and agent options yourself.

For navigation only: how to use the spreadsheet, how to buy, QC photos, platform differences, and category browsing for hoodies, sneakers, or jackets.

Frequently asked questions

Open the live Taobao or Weidian listing and use the seller’s centimetre size chart—not the spreadsheet card and not Western S/M/L habits. Measure a garment that already fits you (laid flat), compare chest/length or waist/inseam to the chart, then select that row when you paste the link into Oopbuy.

No reliable fixed conversion exists across sellers. Each store sets its own chart. Letter labels can mean different centimetre ranges in two shops. Guides from agents such as Sugargoo and Fishgoo consistently advise matching cm measurements instead of converting letters.

胸围 is chest/bust circumference for the garment. Many charts list the full circumference; some show a flat (pit-to-pit) width you must double. Read the listing’s own note. Length is usually 衣长; shoulder 肩宽; sleeve 袖长.

Measure your foot length in centimetres and match the seller’s cm ladder when it is provided. Do not trust a random US/EU stamp on a marketing image if it conflicts with the cm chart. After warehouse intake, use QC photos—and measurement requests if available—before you approve shipping.

Do not guess from model photos alone. Look for buyer comments with height/weight, ask the agent (via order notes) to confirm measurements with the seller, or skip the listing. Ordering without a measurable chart is a sizing gamble.
